Dear Parents,

We are halfway through the third nine weeks. Recently, you received Progress Reports. I still need to meet with a few parents about their child’s academic progress this school year. Thank you for those parents who came in to see the fifth grade team to discuss your child’s performance. Please continue to work with us in order for all of us to help your child succeed and enable them to go on to middle school. Retention of students in the fifth grade is taken very seriously and we want to ensure that we do not take this lightly. Continue to partner with us to the benefit of all.

Also, please make sure that you thank our departing principal and wish her well in her new leadership role as principal at Gallberry. We all wish her well in this endeavor. Also, help us welcome our new principal, Mrs. Fowler, coming to us from Ben Martin as Assistant Principal.  Welcome to Sunnyside Mrs. Fowler.

Parents, do not hesitate to call if you have any questions or concerns about your child/children. I am here to help your child learn and succeed. Help me in being pro-active in your child’s education and not reactive.
